TEAM NEWS: Vermaelen on the bench as Rosicky starts for Arsenal against Bayern Munich

Thomas Vermaelen is relegated to the bench for Arsenal’s last-16 second leg clash as the Gunners look to defy the odds to overturn their 3-1 deficit at the Allianz Arena later tonight. Wojciech Szczesny makes way for Vitor Mannone in goal, whilst Kieran Gibbs has overcome a thigh injury to make his first appearance since the side’s 2-2 draw at Liverpool in late January. Striker Lukas Podolski misses out on the chance to face his former side after being ruled out with an ankle injury, with Olivier Giroud taking his place at the helm of the Arsenal attack.
