Wilshere's awesome 'get well soon' message to injured Gotze

The World Cup winner is out of action for an undefined period due to metabolic disorders, with the Arsenal midfielder sending on his well wishes

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has posted a special message to Mario Gotze, with the Dortmund star currently sidelined due to metabolic disorders.

Gotze’s career at risk of falling apart

The Germany international, who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final, has struggled for fitness and form since making the move back to Dortmund from Bayern Munich in the summer.

Gotze is currently sidelined for an unknown period of time, with the Bundesliga club releasing a statement on Monday to say that, after a thorough internal examination, he would not be able to play in the near future.

The statement read:  “Borussia Dortmund will have to do without their midfielder Mario Gotze.

“The world champion has been struggling with muscular problems in recent months, leading to a thorough internal search for possible causes.

“Investigations have now revealed metabolic disorders, which make it absolutely necessary to take Gotze out of training.”

Wilshere himself has had plenty of injury problems over his career, with the Gunners midfielder, who is currently on loan at Bournemouth, having missed most of the 2015-16 season due to a knee problem.

Wilshere’s Bournemouth face Manchester United in Saturday’s Premier League clash, with Eddie Howe’s side currently on a run of eight games without a win in all competitions.
