Despite failing to impress while on a season-long loan deal with Juventus, the Arsenal striker is attracting admirers from England, Italy and the oil-rich league
Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner is interesting a number of Russian clubs, according to the player’s agent.
The 25-year-old has struggled to impress during his current season-long loan deal at Juventus, where he has failed to score in just eight first-team appearances after being hampered by injury.
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen recently hit out at Bendtner after snubbing a move to the Bundesliga side, urging him to to find a club more in keeping with his ability – but the striker’s representative, Tom Brooks, has claimed that a number of Russian clubs are keen on the Dane.
“We’ve had contact several times with Russian teams,” Brooks told Russian newspaper Izvestia.
“Interest has also been shown by English and Italian clubs and Nicklas would like to play regularly in the Champions League.”
Samuel Eto’o and Hulk are amoung the recent high-profile transfers to the league, with wealthy owners dominating the 16-team competition.
He added: “A large number of talented players have gone to Russia in recent years. If a solid proposal arrives, we will consider it.”
