The Spanish club’s president admits the Costa Rica international is “an interesting player” for his side but is unsure whether a move would be financially viable
Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay admits the club would be keen on a move for Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.
The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal after failing to secure a regular first-team place in Arsene Wenger’s side.
Campbell joined Arsenal in 2011 but has made only 10 appearances for the club after loan spells at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiakos, and now Sociedad are keen on the Costa Rica international.
“He is an interesting player for Real, but right now there’s no talk of a transfer,” Aperribay told Teledonosti.
“We have to analyse the financial conditions that this transfer would pose.”
