Aaron Ramsey believes Danny Welbeck can become an Arsenal legend following his hat-trick against Galatsaray on Wednesday.
The €20 million deadline-day signing from Manchester United failed to score in his first two games for the Gunners but netted in the 3-0 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park and followed it up with a treble in their Champions League in over the Turkish giants.
Ramsey believes that it could be the start of a wildly successful career in north London for the striker.
“Welbeck has everything to make himself an Arsenal legend,” he told talkSPORT. “He has pace, strength and finishing.
“He scored a very Thierry Henry-esque goal against Galatasaray; he just opened up his body and forced it into the side of the net.
“He put in a great performance on Wednesday night. It was the first hat-trick of his career and that will be important for him. He can tick that off and set his sights on getting more goals.”
Arsenal next face Chelsea on Sunday, with Welbeck set to lead the line against Jose Mourinho’s’s men at Stamford Bridge, though Ramsey remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
