Lucas Perez has admitted he has had less of a starring role than he expected in his Arsenal career so far.
Bellerin: If Barcelona call, I won’t pick up!
The Spanish striker joined the Gunners for around £17 million in August but has registered only 64 minutes of Premier League action thus far.
With Alexis Sanchez impressing as Arsenal’s first-choice central striker, Perez is aware he will have to wait for his opportunity to shine.
“When I first arrived here I expected to have more of a starring role,” he told Onda Cero.
“The team-mates that are playing in my position are doing a great job. We have won seven games in a row and, at the end of the day, the coach wants what is best for the team.
Mourinho: I don’t care about Chelsea reception
“I had hoped to have more playing time, but what I have to do now is make the most of the opportunities I get.”
