The 44-year-old has warned against complacency ahead of their next international clash, despite facing Spain four days later

France boss Didier Deschamps has emphasised the importance of concentration ahead of their World Cup 2014 qualifier against Georgia at Stade de France on March 22.

Les Bleus are hosting Spain on March 26, yet the 1998 World Cup winner has made it clear that his team should not take anything for granted against their next opponents.

“For the match against Spain to mean anything, we need first of all to win against Georgia,” he told the Fifa website.

“We are not going to say that Georgia are one of the best teams in Europe, but they have good players and are aggressive. It depends more on us and our attitude.

France made an unbeaten start to their qualifying campaign in 2012, beating Belarus and Finland before Olivier Giroud’s stoppage-time goal salvaged a point against Spain, to leave them level on points with the world and European champions at the top of Group I.

“Spain are very strong when they attack and struggle more when they have to defend, we need to be capable of forcing them to defend.”
