19:46 – DONE DEAL – JORDI AMAT RETURNS TO SPAIN

Amat has returned to Spain for Rayo Vallecano after five years in Wales with Swansea.


19:18 – DONE DEAL – LUCIANO VIETTO TO FULHAM

Atletico Madrid’s Luciano Vietto has been announced by Fulham, in typical (as of this window) Fulham fashion. 

The Argentinian striker will join the Cottagers on a season-long loan for the 2018/19 season.



19:03 – DONE DEAL – MARTIN MONTOYA TO BRIGHTON

One more – Brighton have completed the signing of Valencia’s Martin Montoya on a four-year deal, for an undisclosed fee


18:55 – DONE DEAL – HARRY ARTER TO CARDIFF

Cardiff City have confirmed the loan signing of AFC Bournemouth’s 28-year-old midfielder Harry Arter.


18:48 – DONE DEAL IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Wigan have completed the signing of Rangers forward Josh Windass for an undisclosed fee –  rumoured to be around the £2m mark.



18:35 – DONE DEAL – FERNANDEZ TO NEWCASTLE

One down, nine to go?

Newcastle United have completed the signing of Federico Fernandez from Swansea City, on a two-year deal, with the fee understood to be around £6m.

    18:09 – DONE DEAL – HOLMES TO DERBY

    It’s raining transfers at the minute, and here’s another one. 

    Duane Holmes has swapped Scunthorpe for Derby, for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal with Frank Lampard’s Rams.



    18:04 – DONE DEAL – SOYUNCU TO LEICESTER

    Leicester City have confirmed that they have completed the signing of SC Freiburg’s 22-year-old defender Caglar Soyuncu on a five-year deal for £19m, subject to a work permit. 

    To be fair, Leicester have heard that one before – *cough* Adrien Silva.


    17:59 – ONE OF THE 10?

    West Ham United’s 19-year-old midfielder Domingos Quina is reportedly at Watford’s training ground, in order to push through a move.



    17:48 – DONE DEAL – ULLOA TO MEXICO

    Leonardo Ulloa has agreed a permanent move away from Leicester City, joining – wait for it – “a” club in Mexico.

    Specific.


    17:43 – DONE DEAL – JOE BRYAN TO FULHAM

    Fulham are at it again, and have confirmed the signing of 24-year-old left back Joe Bryan from Bristol City for around £6m.

    IT’S #BRYLLIANT!


    17:39 – DONE DEAL – SAM CLUCAS TO STOKE

    Swansea City have confirmed that 27-year-old midfielder Sam Clucas has joined Stoke City on a four-year deal, for a fee in the region of £6m.

    17:33 – DONE DEAL – SERGIO RICO TO FULHAM

    Fulham have confirmed the loan signing of Sevilla’s goalkeeper Sergio Rico. 

    It’s #HISTORICO apparently…



    17:25 – BESIC MOVE BREAKS DOWN

    A collapsed deal now, as Sky Sports report that Everton’s Mo Besic has failed to agree personal terms with Middlesbrough. 

    The 25-year-old Bosnia & Herzegovina international had played the last half of the 2017/18 season at the Riverside.


    17:13 – DONE DEAL

    Brighton have joined in on the Deadline Day action with the signing of 17-year-old midfielder Peter Gwargis.



    17:10 – BIRMINGHAM SIGN GARY GARDNER ON LOAN

    Who says rivals can’t get along?

    Birmingham have completed the signing of Gary Gardner on a season-long loan deal from rivals Aston Villa.



    17:03 – DONE DEAL – WEST HAM SIGN CARLOS SANCHEZ

    We have our first straggler, and it’s West Ham who’ve got it done. The Hammers have announced the addition of Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina, after the Colombian passed his medical late this afternoon.



    17:00 – TRANSFER WINDOW SHUTS!

    The English transfer window has officially closed. Now we play the waiting game, to see which deals have been snuck in right at the last.


    16:55 – DONE DEAL – YERRY MINA TO EVERTON

    Barcelona have confirmed that Everton have completed the signing of Colombian centre back Yerry Mina for £28.5m.



    16:51 – DONE DEAL – DASILVA TO BRISTOL CITY

    Bristol City have confirmed the the season-long loan signing of Jay Dasilva from Chelsea. 

    The 20-year-old English left back was at Charlton last season, and has won three FA Youth Cups for his parent club.


    16:46 – DONE DEAL – BERNARD TO EVERTON

    Everton have officially announced the signing of free agent Bernard. The Brazilian international has signed a four-year deal with the Toffees. 



    16:42 – DOUGLAS LUIZ REFUSED WORK PERMIT

    More Premier League work permit issues, this time for ​Manchester City. It’s a big blow for Pep Guardiola, as Douglas Luiz will be forced to go out on loan once again after failing to garner a work permit, as per ​Globo.


    16:33 – HUGE BLOW FOR NEWCASTLE

    Newcastle have been a dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of Barcelona’s centre back Marlon Santos, after his work permit was denied.

    The 22-year-old Brazilian was expected to join on a season-long loan.


    16:25 – FULHAM CLOSING IN ON FOSU-MENSAH

    Everton and Fulham are going currently going tit for tat in a deadline day deal battle, and it looks like the Cottagers are responding to Everton’s Rojo news with a loan deal for Manchester United’s Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

    The 20-year-old Dutchman spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace.


    16:18 – MARCOS ROJO TO EVERTON?!?!

    Everton are on a deadline day rampage at the minute. 

    With Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina undergoing medicals, as well as an agreement for Chelsea centre back Kurt Zouma, the Merseysiders are now also in for ​Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo for around £22m.


    16:10 – DONE DEAL – MICHAEL HEFELE JOINS NOTTINGHAM FOREST

    And we have another done deal! Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Huddersfield Town defender Michael Hefele for an undisclosed fee. 

    The 27-year-old centre back was a key part of the Terriers’ promotion push in 2017, and was being coveted by many Championship teams before he was eventually snapped up by Forest.


    16:05: BERNARD AGREES TERMS WITH EVERTON

    As we head into the last hour, the deals are starting to trickle through. Former Shakhtar Donetsk winger and current free agent Bernard looks to be one of those that’s set to be completed.

    The Brazilian international has agreed personal terms with the Merseyside club and has also sealed his work permit ahead of his free transfer to the Premier League side.



    15:58 – DAVID OSPINA AGREES TERMS WITH BESIKTAS

    Arsenal and Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina has agreed personal terms with Turkish giants Besiktas, ahead of a potentially permanent move away from north London.


    15:43 – DONE DEAL – CONNOLLY TO WIGAN

    Wigan have announced the loan signing of Everton’s Callum Connolly. 

    The 20-year-old defensive midfielder will join the Latics for a second time after a previous loan spell at the start of 2017.



    15:35 – KURT ZOUMA SET FOR EVERTON LOAN

    Everton have agreed a deal to sign Chelsea’s centre back Kurt Zouma on loan, as reported by L’Equipe journalist Bilel Ghazi. 

    The Toffees will now have to finalise the deal before the 5pm curfew. The 23-year-old Frenchman was also supposedly a target for Manchester United.


    15:26 – TRURO MANAGER, ANYONE?

    With the market quietening for the moment, here’s a chance for you to make a deadline day move of your own. 

    Vanarama National League South side Truro City FC are accepting CV’s for their managerial role, after sacking previous coaches (checks notes) Lee Hodges & Chris Todd. Worth a shot?



    15:16 – EUROPEAN RETURN FOR RAMIRES?

    According to Portuguese publication Record, former Chelsea and Brazil midfielder Ramires could be making his return to European football, with both Benfica and an undisclosed Italian side interested.

    The 31-year-old has been plying his trade at Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League since 2016.

    15:10 – HARRY ARTER MEDICAL

    The AFC Bournemouth midfielder is about to have his medical at Cardiff City, as part of the completion of his loan move to the Welsh Capital. 

    Incidentally, we now have only 1hr and 50 minutes left of the English Transfer Window…



    15:00 – ORNACLE SAYS NOOOOOO

    As anticipated, ​Arsenal’s purported €100m bid for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele has been comprehensively rubbished by BBC Sport’s David Ornstein. 

    Who’d have thunk it?


    14:54 – SLIMANI FENERBAHCE UPDATE

    Fenerbahce are getting closer and closer to completing their one-year loan deal to sign Leicester City’s record signing Islam Slimani. 

    The 30-year-old cost the Foxes £28m once upon a time, but has never fit the billing at the King Power.


    14:48 – MONTOYA TO BRIGHTON?

    Brighton & Hove Albion could be set to hand Fulham some of their own Joe Bryan medicine, by making a last gasp move for Lily Whites target Martin Montoya.

    The former Barcelona, now Valencia right back looked all but set to join Slavisa Jokanovic’s side, but Chris Hughton seems to have persuaded him to change his mind right at the last, as per the Daily Mail.

    14:40 – DONE DEAL – WOLVES SIGN DENDONCKER

    Wolves have completed the signing of Belgian international Leander Dendoncker on a initial season-long loan that is expected to be made permanent next year.


    14:35 – EVERTON MAKING MEDICAL MOVES

     

    Barcelona duo Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina are set to undergo their medicals in the Spanish city in preparation for a move to Merseyside! 

    It is understood by Dominic King that the former has a ‘slight injury’, but it shouldn’t affect the transfer. Would be two great signings for the Toffees!


    14:23 – VICTOR MOSES TO WOLVES?

    Chelsea right wing back Victor Moses has emerged as a last minute target for ​Premier League new boys and notorious big spenders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

    As reported by the Birmingham Mail, the Nigerian international would be brought in as competition for Matt Doherty.

    14:15 – RANGERS’ DECLAN JOHN HAVING SWANSEA MEDICAL

    Rangers’ left back Declan John is reportedly undergoing his medical at Swansea City FC, with the fee still undisclosed. 

    FYI – John is notably a Cardiff City academy graduate, and was under contract with the club from 2012 to 2017.


    14:07 – ARSENAL SUBMIT €100m BID FOR OUSMANE DEMBELE

    It just wouldn’t be deadline day without Arsenal submitting a no doubt fruitless bid for a highly rated Frenchman – think Thomas Lemar etc. 

    And Spanish Journalist Kike Marin reckons they’ve done it again, with the only issue being a) whether the 21-year-old wants to go… which he has said he doesn’t and b) whether Barca would accept the bid, which they surely wouldn’t. Other than that, it looks a goer…



    13:58 – FEDERICO FERNANDEZ MEDICAL AT NEWCASTLE

    Swansea City’s 29-year-old centre back Federico Fernandez is set to undergo his medical before joining Newcastle United. At this moment, the fee has not yet been agreed.



    13:53 – IPSWICH TOWN AGREE FEE FOR JOSH WINDASS

    Ipswich Town have apparently had a £2m bid for Rangers’ Josh Windass accepted by the Scottish club. 

    The 24-year-old forward is highly rated by Steven Gerrard, but it looks like he could be off, as per these (cough) four lads who had a dream…


    13:42 – FULHAM ALSO SET TO SIGN ATLETICO FORWARD ON LOAN

    It truly is Fulham hour as it stands.

    The Cottagers are also looking into a loan move for ​Atletico Madrid’s Luciano Vietto, with the 24-year-old striker apparently being offered to the newly promoted side, as per the ​Daily Mail.

    13:32 QUE RICO – SEVILLA KEEPER EDGES TOWARD FULHAM MOVE

    Fulham are at it again! This time it’s their pursuit of Sevilla’s goalkeeper Sergio Rico that’s coming up roses. 

    The 24-year-old is understood to have touched down in London in order to complete his loan move to the Lily Whites. He was said to be one of Chelsea’s possible targets before the signing of Kepa…
