The Spaniard moved to the Gunners for a fee believed to be in the region of £17m to bolster the Gunners’ striking options.
And Arsenal have since confirmed Lucas’ shirt number, which has been worn by the likes of Lukas Podolski, Park Chu-Young, Eduardo, Julio Baptista and Jose Antonio Reyes in recent years.
