Aaron Ramsey is available after missing Sunday’s win over West Brom with a thigh strain, while Kieran Gibbs is also set to return to the squad for the final game of the season
Arsene Wenger has confirmed Jack Wilshere is in contention to feature in Arsenal’s final game of the season against Norwich City on Sunday.
The 22-year-old has been sidelined since March 5 after breaking his foot during England’s friendly victory over Denmark at Wembley.
Wenger had previously claimed that Wilshere would play some part in the final stages of Arsenal’s season, which includes an FA Cup final against Hull City, and would be fully fit for England’s World Cup campaign in Brazil this summer.
“Aaron Ramsey is available again and Jack Wilshere could be back in the squad. Kieran Gibbs is back as well,” Wenger told reporters.
Heading into their final Premier League game of the term, Arsenal have already secured fourth spot ahead of Everton and Wenger admits his side need to match the attacking threat posed by Manchester City and Liverpool.
“My team has shown a remarkable stamina and I am very proud of that,” said the 64-year-old.
“We have been top 128 days but we failed in some big games in away from home.
“City and Liverpool’s offensive potential has been fantastic. That’s where we need to improve.
“Every other team in the top four will be frustrated by not winning the league this year.”
