The Gunners’ number one is amongst the substitutes and is joined by the club captain, who is yet again omitted from the starting line-up by Arsenal Wenger
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will be watching from the bench for his club’s Premier League clash with Swansea with Lukasz Fabianski continuing in goal for the Gunners after impressing against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Fabianski kept a clean sheet during the 2-0 victory thriller over the Bundesliga leaders in midweek and has kept his place in the side for the trip to south Wales.
Defender Thomas Vermaelen is also missing from the squad sheet as Arsene Wenger opts for the pairing of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny in central defence.
Michael Laudrup has recalled Nathan Dyer to his squad while Leon Britton also returns to action at the Liberty Stadium.
Wayne Routledge and Luke Moore both drop to the bench in a move that sees the coach choose a more compact formation for the Capital One Cup winners.
