Sagna coy over Arsenal future amid Ligue 1 interest

The France international admits he is open to interest from Paris Saint-Germain or Monaco this summer and would be ready to tackle “a new challenge”

Bacary Sagna remains coy over his future at Arsenal and admits he would be open to a move to Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain or free-spending Monaco.

Sochaux’s Sebastien Corchia and Swansea City’s Angel Rangel top Arsenal’s shortlist to replace Sagna, who expects to leave Arsene Wenger’s side this summer.

The France international’s deal at the Emirates Stadium expires in 2014, but the 30-year-old is unhappy the club failed to offer him a two-year extension and an increase on his €70,000-a-week salary.

“PSG or Monaco? Possibly,” Sagna told L’Equipe. “We must see what terms they offer and what they can offer on the field.

“I do not exclude anything. If I stay at Arsenal, I’ll try to have a good season, there is the World Cup at the end. If I have to leave, it will be a new challenge.”

The 30-year-old right-back joined Arsenal in 2007 from Auxerre, scoring four goals in 236 appearances for the Gunners.
