The youngster says he is happy to be back playing in the Premier League following injury and hopes to improve as he continues his six-month loan spell at Fulham
Emmanuel Frimpong has spoken of his delight at playing Premier League football again after making his debut for loan club Fulham.
The 21-year-old joined the Cottagers for the remainder of the season from Arsenal as he recovers from the cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out for the remainder of last term while enjoying a similar spell at Wolves.
Frimpong managed 64 minutes on his return to a starting line-up in an eager performance that earned himself a yellow card after a number of fouls on Norwich players, but the battling midfielder was pleased with his showing.
“I think it went well,” he told Fulham’s official website after the game.
“Before I came to Fulham I had hardly played any football – the last time I played in the Premier League was a year ago because of my injury.”
The tough-tackling England youth international played six games for Championship side Charlton during the festive period, but says he feels more suited to life in the top division.
He added: “It was nice to play in the Premier League again and, hopefully, I’ll get better with the more games that I play. I want to push on all the way until the end of the season.”
